07:30: Tour guide picks you up at the hotel. Start the journey by minivan, traveling for about 1.5 hours through beautiful scenic roads to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
The peaceful countryside scenery with green rice fields, ducks, and water buffalos makes it hard to imagine the heavy destruction caused by bombs and mines when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone."
Explore the historical battlefield and tunnel system. You can also experience shooting an AK-47 rifle (at your own expense).
Afternoon: Depart from Cu Chi to My Tho city (approx. 2 hours by van). Stop for lunch at a restaurant on the way.
Arrive in My Tho, board a boat, and cruise along peaceful canals, leaving the bustling city behind. The boat takes you to a poetic coconut island in Ben Tre.
Disembark and walk around the village. Visit a local house, enjoy tropical fruits, honey tea, and traditional Vietnamese music.
Walk along the village road to a coconut candy workshop to see the candy-making process. Take photos of the beautiful nature of the Mekong Delta.
17:00 – 17:30: Depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
19:00: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Drop off at your hotel. End of tour.

Great Way to Explore Beyond Ho Chi Minh City
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see more of southern Vietnam in a limited amount of time. The Cu Chi Tunnels were the highlight for me because the guide explained their historical importance clearly. After lunch, the Mekong Delta offered a completely different atmosphere, with quiet canals and green coconut trees. Walking through the local village and watching coconut candy being made were enjoyable experiences. The traditional music and fresh tropical fruits made the visit even better. It was a memorable day with a nice balance of learning and relaxation.
A Full Day of Unique Experiences
This tour offered a good variety of activities in just one day. The Cu Chi Tunnels were fascinating, and learning about the underground network made the history feel more real. I also enjoyed the countryside views along the way. The Mekong Delta part was a nice change of pace, with a boat trip, a village walk, and a visit to a coconut candy workshop.
